Summary: After posting A Matter of Trust - Part 1, I didn’t feel happy with the way the original story ended so I have expanded it into a two part story. I hope this is OK.

“Jun, do you want anything?”

“No. Thank you.”

Satoshi couldn’t help sighing quietly to himself as he prepared a quick breakfast. It had been a week since the incident and things were still more than uncomfortable between the two of them.

Jun had been perfectly polite to an almost painful degree and when they were in public together he acted as if everything was normal, but there was an invisible barrier of aloof coldness around him which no matter how hard he tried he had been unable to penetrate. It hadn’t helped that because of Jun’s injuries he had been afraid to touch him in case he hurt him again. He could still remember how he had felt when the younger man had collapsed to the floor after he grabbed him in his unfounded rage.

He walked to the bedroom carrying a glass of juice and his morning dose of pills which he left on the bedside table next to where Jun was sitting in the middle of their bed propped up with lots of pillows as he had found this the most comfortable way to sleep while his injured ribs healed. Satoshi had been sleeping in the spare room since he found out about the accident, afraid that he would jostle Jun in his sleep and cause him unnecessary pain.

“Are you sure you don’t want breakfast? You really shouldn’t take those on an empty stomach.”
“No. Thank you.”

“OK, you know best. You have a doctor’s appointment today don’t you? I think I’m free around that time. Would you like me to come with you?”

“No. Thank you.”

“Right.” Satoshi said, swallowing hard trying to suppress the tears that had unexpectedly sprung up in his eyes “I’ll be off then. I’ll see you later at the photo shoot. Can I do anything else before I go?”

“No. Thank you.”

He bent and gave Jun a quick peck on the forehead before he dashed out of their apartment. When he reached the other side of the door, he slowly slid down onto his haunches, clutching his head and choking back a sob. He didn’t know how much longer he could stand the way Jun was unable to meet his eyes. It was as if he was living with a polite roommate or distant relation rather than the passionate lover whose wellbeing meant more to him than his own life. There was still the feeling that things remained unresolved.

The next morning Jun had assured him that he was forgiven but he was still feeling immensely guilty and since that time that hadn’t even shared a kiss. He was waiting for Jun to show even the slightest sign that his touch would be once again welcome, but so far his barriers had remained impenetrable.

He wished that there was someone he could turn to for advice, but Aiba and Nino were still mad at him and there was no way on earth that he could discuss his problems with Sho after he had virtually accused him of cheating on him with Jun, especially after he had promised him that he would do his best towards Jun from now on.

He still couldn’t believe how stupid he had been. All he could do now was wait and hope that things would soon improve.

++++

Another two weeks had passed and things had still not returned to normal. He hoped at least to persuade Aiba and Nino to forgive him after he invited them for a marathon dinner and drinking session.

As the three of them staggered out of the bar things ended in the usual way with Aiba clinging onto him like a limpet and coating him with wet kisses as he patted his head in what to Aiba seemed like a comforting way, but in reality was hard enough to make him see stars.

“Don’t worry Riida. Jun loves you. He’ll come back to you soon.”

“Idiot!” Nino said, smacking him drunkenly “Jun hasn’t left him yet.”

“What do you mean by yet?” Ohno asked suddenly feeling sober, a cold chill running up his spine.

“I’m sure it’s nothing. I just happened to overhear him talking to Toma-kun about using his holiday house this weekend.” Nino replied.

“See! It’s not like he’s planning on leaving you forever.” Aiba babbled “He’s just planning on going a long, long, long, way away from you for an entire weekend to decide whether to make it permanent.”

Nino forcefully shoved his band mate into the waiting taxi, not caring that he cracked his head on the door frame.

“Don’t worry about what he’s saying. He’s just a drunken idiot.”

“Oi” Aiba protested from the back seat where he was rubbing his bruised head.

“I’m sure he’s planning on taking you along as a surprise. You two need some alone time at the moment.” Nino said as he shoved a protesting Aiba across the seat so he could fit in the car beside him.

But nothing was mentioned until Thursday night when Jun casually said that he was planning on visiting his parents on Friday night and he wouldn’t be home until Sunday evening.

Satoshi wanted to scream, to grab Jun and demand to know what was happening, but he managed to control himself, not giving away even the slightest hint of the distress he was feeling inside. He merely asked Jun to say hello to his parents for him and to bring home a jar of his mother’s famous pickles when he returned.

He even helped Jun to pack, not wanting him to over exert himself. At his last doctor’s appointment Jun had been told that his ribs were not healing as well as they should because he had been overdoing things, which was only to be expected. Johnny’s didn’t know the meaning of taking things easy.

When Satoshi came home on Friday evening his boyfriend was already gone. He hadn’t even had the chance to say goodbye. He knew that he had no other option. He had to talk to Sho.

++++

“I’ve been waiting for your call.”

Satoshi was surprised “Why?”

“Jun came and spoke to me yesterday. He was worried about your relationship.”

“He wants to break up with me, doesn’t he?”

“You really are a stupid man sometimes.” Sho responded with a sigh.

“What?”

“Look, I’m not the person you need to be discussing this with. I’ll get Nino to text you the address of Toma-kun’s place. Just go there and make sure that you get Jun to talk about this properly.” Sho said, suddenly sounding very tired. “Promise me that you will stay there until this is sorted out. I won’t tell you what Jun and I discussed, but let me assure you, he loves you more than you probably know.”

There was no other possible response that Satoshi could make except to go and make sure that he did exactly what Sho had suggested.

++++

The house was almost in complete darkness when the taxi pulled up and Satoshi climbed out. He knew that it was very late, but he desperately needed to make sure Jun was OK, so waiting until morning was not an option.

He walked up the path and was about to ring the bell, when the door flew open and a confused looking Jun was standing and staring at him. His hair was messy and his eyes were wide with astonishment behind his thick framed glasses. Satoshi could see that he had been crying and wanted nothing more than to grab him and hold him and make him happy again. He lifted his arms but once again the little voice in the back of his head made him stop as he started to reach out for him. Still afraid of hurting him with his touch he let his arms drop uselessly to his sides.

“Which one of them told you?”

“I…I..um?”

“Never mind. None of them can be trusted to keep a secret.” Jun said, stepping aside to allow him to enter the house.

Jun sat down primly on a hard backed chair with a cushion on it and gestured to Satoshi to take a seat on the sofa.

“Would you like a drink?” he said reaching for the half empty bottle of wine on the side table next to him.

“No, I’m fine, but you go ahead.”

Jun nodded and poured a generous amount into his glass “So why have you come?” he asked coldly.

Satoshi finally snapped at hearing that same tone that Jun had been using with him for the past few weeks “Because I want to find out why you are leaving me and I want to hear it from your lips and not from one of the others.”

Jun almost dropped his wine “You think I am leaving you?”

“Why else would you come here by yourself and lie to me about where you were going to be?”

“Because I wanted some time to myself to sit and cry and prepare myself for when you ask me to move out of our apartment.”

Satoshi couldn’t believe his ears “What on earth gave you the idea that I wanted you to leave?”

Jun replied in such a small voice that Satoshi could hardly hear him “Because you haven’t touched me since that night.”

“I don’t understand.”

“You haven’t kissed me or held me since then. You don’t even sleep in the same bed with me anymore. It’s like you are punishing me for betraying you, but you have to believe me when I tell you that there’s nothing happening between Sho and I. He was just helping me. I..I would never go with another man. I love only you…”

Satoshi’s couldn’t believe what he was hearing. How could Jun think that he was rejecting him? He missed his touch so badly it was like a physical pain. He was about to deny what his lover had said until he remembered Sho’s advice to listen well. If he thought back to his interaction with his lover over the past few weeks he realised that what Jun had said was completely true. He hadn’t touched him or kissed him, not because he didn’t want to but because he was afraid, and that’s exactly what he told Jun.

“You were afraid of hurting me? Do you think I’m that fragile?” Jun responded angrily “I’m a man, not a wilting flower.”

“I never said that you were.” Satoshi said suddenly grinning as a thought came into his head “Although if you were a flower I would probable describe you as a rose, beautiful to look at but spiky to the touch.”

Satoshi knew that he was winning Jun over by the way the corners of his mouth twitched at his comment so he decided to take things one step further. He stood up and walked over to where his lover was sitting, pushing his legs apart so he could kneel between them.

“I was worried about your ribs. I know that I caused extra damage to them when I pulled you across the studio and grabbed you around the waist. I was just trying to give you time to get better. I should have realised how it would have looked to you. I really am a stupid man.”

“You’ve been talking to Sho haven’t you?” Jun said with a laugh.

“I think that’s what he described me as.”

“Trust me. He called you much worse things than that when I talked to him the other day.”

“And I deserved it.”

We deserve it. I can’t believe how monumentally stupid we both are.” Jun said stroking the side of Satoshi’s face and looking at him with a loving expression. “So. Are you planning on making up for lost time while you are down there on your knees?” he continued with an inviting smile.

“You mean like this?” Satoshi replied as he ran a hand over the outline of Jun’s cock through his pyjama pants.

“Mmm.” Jun responded “Kiss me properly first and then you make good use of your mouth where you are at the moment.”

++++
Later, when they were in bed and Satoshi slid deep inside his lover for the first time in what seemed like half a lifetime ago, he found that he was still being too careful for Jun’s liking.

“As long as you don’t put any weight on my ribs, you can fuck me as hard as you like.” Jun said, panting and jerking his hips upwards to meet Satoshi’s thrusts halfway.

“Why would you think that anyone could possibly think of you as a delicate little flower?” Satoshi replied, as he groaned at the feeling of Jun clenching tightly around his cock and pressing his feet against his ass, forcing him deeper inside him than he would have ever thought possible.

He was planning on spending the rest of the weekend showing Jun just how much he had missed him and loved him.

Jealousy can be so annoying but in a way it is important to show that the person care for the lover. Thankfully Jun and Satoshi ended up forgiving each other. It's pretty amusing about them having completely different thoughts; Ohno thought Jun wanted to break up while Jun thought the opposite. It reminds me of their rl selves XD
This fic has the right amount of angst that made my heart clenched at certain part. The ending is really nice too.
It's great that you keep churning out fics lately (especially Juntoshi XD)
Thank you for sharing^^
