More that he is scared of appearing to be vulnerable, preferring to pretend that things don't matter so much, because this way he can protect himself from getting hurt. So even though he loves Jun he rarely says it out loud. Jun, of course already knows this, but enjoys it when he can make Nino actually say the words.
