Random Arashi Christmas Drabbles 12 - Jun/Sho/Nino
Pairing: Jun/Sho/Nino
Rating: PG
Genre: fluff, au
Disclaimer: I own neither Christmas nor Arashi
Summary: “Just play nicely together until I get home in ten days’ time,” Sho replied sternly.
A/N: Merry Christmas everyone. There will be one last oversized smutty Christmas drabble tomorrow featuring the third story based on these three and their first Christmas together.
"Jun why are you hanging decorations up when it’s still only November?" Nino grumbled.
Jun coughed instead of replying and continued with his task, seemingly ignoring his boyfriend completely.
After getting no joy from Jun, Nino decided to go and complain to Sho instead, but he was busy packing for his latest business trip. Instead of an answer from him all Nino got was a kiss and a pat on his ass, which was more than pleasant, but didn't fix the emerging problem of tinsel creep.
They both accompanied Sho to the front door, Jun receiving his goodbye kiss first. He immediately headed back to the kitchen where an insanely large Christmas pudding was bubbling away on the stove.
Sho kissed his other boyfriend and then held Nino in place for a moment before he left. “Keep an eye on Jun for me will you? He never wants to admit it when he’s sick and I’m sure he’s running a fever. He felt too warm just now when I kissed him.”
“Yes mother, I will do my best. Maybe if he gets sicker he will stop it with the inappropriately early Christmas preparations,” Nino snarked.
“Just play nicely together until I get home in ten days’ time,” Sho replied sternly.
“Fine.” Nino’s plan to disguise his eye roll obviously failed as Sho smacked him on the head before he left.

For the next few days the level of incidental tinsel didn’t noticeably increase, perhaps because Jun was too busy coughing and blowing his nose to have time to add to his meagre collection. Nino was greatly relieved that he wasn’t about to be throttled by random strands any time soon.
This was going to be their first Christmas together with the three of them and although Nino would never admit it he was more than a little nervous. Even though his two lovers treated him as an equal, he was the one who had been added into their already established relationship and he was sometimes still unsure of his standing, no matter how often the others reassured him of their love.
But on the fifth evening after Sho's departure Nino knew something had gone seriously wrong when he returned home to the smell of something burning. He rushed to the kitchen and hastily pulled out a tray of blackened cookies, tipping them in the sink and almost singeing his fingers in the process.
Obviously Jun had been the one to put them in the oven, but it was completely out of character for him to not respond when his precisely set timer went off. Since Jun was nowhere in sight Nino began to search the apartment for him, finally finding him on the bed, seemingly asleep.
"Jun, wakey wakey. You fell asleep and I'm sorry to inform you that your cookies didn't make it," Nino said as he poked his boyfriend in the side. "Jun?"
There was no response and Nino was horrified to realize that Jun was drenched with sweat and breathing with an unnaturally wheezy gasping sound. When Nino touched his forehead it felt as if Jun was on fire.
Nino had a strict policy of staying as far away from sick people as humanly possible, but with Sho gone he had no possible choice but to take charge of the situation. He grabbed his phone and began to ring for an ambulance with shaking fingers.

"So the doctors say that our Princess has pneumonia," Nino reported to Sho. "They also said that he should have seen a doctor days ago," he added with a glare directed at Jun.
Jun creased his eyebrows at him from his propped-up position in the hospital bed. The oxygen mask covering his mouth and nose prevented him from replying to Nino, so he had to make do with a deathly glare at the use of the Princess nickname.
Unable to stay awake for longer than it took for Nino to hold the phone to his ear and for Sho to give him all his love, Jun soon fell into a fevered sleep once again.
Nino was veering between anger at Jun's refusal to admit that he was that sick in the first place and guilt at his own inability to realize that his boyfriend was disguising the severity of his illness. He maintained a lonely vigil at Jun's bedside until Sho was able to make it home on the next available flight and share the responsibility of willing their boyfriend to make a full recovery.
Nino thought that he disguised his fears for Jun rather well, smacking him on the head when he tried to remove the oxygen mask because he was finding it claustrophobic and taking a lot of time to tell Jun that he was making him lose money by taking him away from work to sit and hold his hand because of his own stubborn stupidity.
Unfortunately all of Nino's hard work to appear nonchalant went out the window when Sho finally walked in the room looking both completely exhausted and and deeply worried. Nino found himself flinging himself into Sho's arms and clinging to him in a trembling heap while Sho patted his back comfortingly as if he was a small baby. He hoped that the snicker he heard coming from Jun's direction was just a trick of his imagination.
++++
It took over a week before Jun was deemed well enough to be released from the hospital. Sho and Nino lovingly supported him on either side as he shuffled his way up the corridor from the elevator to their apartment, stopping periodically to catch his breath.
Sho had offered to carry him, earning himself a look that would have turned a less experienced person to dust. Sho, however, was almost immune to the terror by now and managed to resist the urge to cower behind Nino, before agreeing to let Jun walk by himself.
Nino and Sho had spent as much time as possible at the hospital, only returning home to shower and take turns at snatching some sleep. Their neighbour Aiba had been kind enough to clear their mailbox and collect their parcels during this time.
Quite a stack of packages had built up on the table in the entrance way; all of them addressed to Jun.
Jun looked slightly ashamed as he surveyed the pile of parcels. They all seemed to be from suppliers of Christmas decorations. He knew that the other two weren't as into Christmas as he was and he had hoped to smuggle the packages in one at a time without them noticing just how much stuff he bought.
Nino and Sho exchanged a look behind their boyfriend's back and agreed to not say anything. It was painful for Nino to pass up an opportunity to tease Jun, but he was just so relieved to have him at home once again he would do anything to make him happy.
++++
A week later when Jun was almost fully recovered, the tinsel was joined by a string of fairy lights across the window.
Nino looked at them and then looked over at Jun who switched them on at that moment. The dancing colours of them shimmered across Jun's eyes, mirrored by such a look of pure happiness that Nino bit off his complaint and went to hold the chair steady for Jun when he went to hang the next strand of tinsel.
Perhaps there was something to be said for a few decorations (within reason) to brighten up the apartment if Jun was going to wear that look of childlike wonder until Christmas.

So sorry for reading your stories in random order, and if there's a story of them before this obviously I haven't read it yet, and then your series... I'm sorry I'm in the middle of my holiday but I promise to get back to all your stories that I've missed. Please don't be mad lols
But back to this story, omg Jun got a pneumonia that sounds severe enough until he was hospitalized. I've had once and it was terrible. Ahh Nino is so good to him even when he tried to mask his worryness and Sho is like the alpha version in the relationship and I love it
Last but not least, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you!

As if I would get mad at you. ❤
I think I am falling for these three together. Sho is like the referee between the other two and Nino is adorably insecure. (If you read the first one you will see that he sort of dropped himself into the relationship without any warning.)
Merry Christmas to you too. 🎄🎄🎄

Now you make me want to read the first one! But I need to sleep? How? Ahhhh?

I just realized that I don't think that Jun spoke a single word in this whole story. He just coughed a lot and glared. Obviously his expressive eyebrows did all the talking for him.
Thanks for the suggestion 💜💜

I have so many ideas bouncing around and so little time to write them.
On the other hand when No Love is done I shall be free-ish.
At the moment I am really into these three, they just seem to belong together.
Thanks for reading 💕💕

And of course Sho needed to come home earlier, because of Jun's state.
