The Last Code Purple
Rating: PG
Genre: fluff
Disclaimer: I don’t own Arashi – I only own these words
Summary: All of Arashi's other members could say that they loved their youngest member deeply, especially Sho of course, who had been in a relationship with him since shortly after Jun's twentieth birthday. If pressed they would all, except Ohno, say that they were also more than a tiny bit afraid of him sometimes.
Note: I know I have been spamming you guys with posts lately, but since today is the last day of Jun month I have come up with one last story to finish things off. Since so many people asked about the earlier “code purple” that I mentioned in Code Purple I have written the prequel for you guys.
Many thanks to

"What do you mean you lost it?" Nino hissed.
"I was just looking at it when Sho-chan walked up behind me. I thought he might be Jun and my arm jerked with nerves and I kind of flung it down the toilet." Aiba whined.
"That's it, we're both dead, and he is going to take out Sho just because he didn't stop us. Arashi is going to be a duo by the end of the night."
They both turned to look at Sho who was currently kneeling with his face practically touching the water in the bowl making faint whimpering noises. "Why did you have flush?" he moaned.
"Because I lost my balance when you scared me and accidentally hit the button when I tried to stop myself from falling," Aiba protested indignantly.
"But why did you have it in your hand in the first place?" Nino as he pulled Aiba safely out of Sho's reach.

All of Arashi's other members could say that they loved their youngest member deeply, especially Sho of course, who had been in a relationship with him since shortly after Jun's twentieth birthday. If pressed they would all, except Ohno, say that they were also more than a tiny bit afraid of him sometimes.
Each of them, except Ohno, had all experienced what it was like to be at the centre of what had legendarily come to be known around the Jimusho as a "Code Purple".
The instructors at the agency even used the threat of it as a tool to keep any misbehaving Juniors in line. When Jun swept along the corridors with his sunglasses pressed firmly to his face on a bad day the loitering Juniors would part like the red sea and hastily rush to their training.
The one obvious exception to this was Ohno. He had never been very good at picking up on emotions in others or on moody atmospheres and continued to treat Jun in his usual indulgently benign fashion which the group's youngest member would respond to with the same shy admiration as in his Junior days.

The stricken trio huddled around the toilet in question like three witches around a cauldron.
"I just wanted to see what was inside," mumbled Aiba. “It made those interesting little clattering noises when he moved.”
"Why didn't you just ask Jun if you could look at it?" Nino asked.
"Because he doesn't trust me with valuable stuff. I have no idea why though, “Aiba said looking at the other two with wide and innocent eyes.
"What about his favourite shirt?" Sho asked.
"I managed to get most of the stains out. It's not my fault that my hay fever kicked in while I was drinking that strawberry milkshake," Aiba complained.
"And the bonsai?" asked Nino with a raised eyebrow.
"I honestly thought it was water in that spray bottle." Aiba said wincing as he remembered the consequences of that particular incident.
Filled with horror at the thought of what would happen if they were unable to find the lost item, the three of them bent over the toilet once again, staring despairingly at the depressingly empty bowl.
The object in question that had met its watery fate was a square shaped locket pendant that Jun always wore when last minute concert preparations were underway. It was his good luck talisman and he believed that it was responsible for the continuing success of their concerts.
It contained a button that Sho had cut off his high school uniform jacket upon his graduation and presented to Jun as a token of his blossoming feelings for the younger boy.
Jun had worn it at every important event since then and he firmly believed in its power to bring good luck and success to all of Arashi’s endeavours.

"What on earth are you three doing?" Jun's voice came loud and clear into their traumatized brains as he walked into their bathroom at the stadium.
"I...we...I," mumbled Aiba, trying to come up with a rational explanation.
"Sho can explain!" said Nino as he grabbed Sho by the arm and shoved him towards Jun before he grabbed Aiba and cowered behind their human shield.
"Um, Jun, baby, there's been a bit of an accident," Sho said in an unnaturally high pitched voice.
Jun looked at them with suspiciously narrowed eyes. "What sort of accident?"
Nino bravely stepped around Sho and said "Aiba found your locket. You must have dropped it in here and he wanted to put it somewhere safe; but the floor was wet and he slipped and it accidentallyfellinthetoilet." He hoped that by running his last words together it would take long enough for the words to sink in to enable them to make their escape.
Unfortunately Jun was quick to understand. "My locket is in the toilet?"
"Um, well I'm afraid it kind of got flushed down the drain, but don't worry, Aiba is ok and didn't get hurt," Nino said in a let's look on the bright side tone of voice.
"You WILL fix this," Jun hissed before sweeping dramatically from the room.
"It must be like having a Bond villain as a boyfriend sometimes," Nino said as he looked admiringly at Sho.
Sho sighed deeply and said "I think that Bond has it easy." He took a deep breath and ran after his incandescently angry boyfriend.

A hapless team of plumbers was called in by Arashi's panicking managers to try and search the drains, and succeeded in finding a large quantity of unmentionable and bizarre objects that had apparently been flushed down the toilets in the arena but the locket was long gone.
From that moment on everyone was on a state of high alert, but Jun was for once surprisingly calm after his initial burst of anger which had resulted in more than a few applications for stress leave amongst the terrified managers. Frighteningly calm in fact.

“Right, Riida. That was perfect. You might as well go and grab some lunch,” Jun said as they rehearsed in the stadium for the first time.
Ohno waved his hand in acknowledgement and slowly made his way off stage.
The other three made a move to leave as well. It was an exceptionally hot day and for some unexplained reason the air-conditioning had stopped working shortly after they started rehearsing. They were all looking forward to a nice cold drink and maybe a quick shower as they trailed listlessly towards the exit.
“And where do you think you three are going?” Jun’s voice boomed in their headsets. “I didn’t say that you could go anywhere.”
“But, you told Riida that things were perfect,” Nino whined as he tried fanning his face with a sweat soaked towel.
“Yes I told Riida that he was perfect, not you guys,” Jun snarked. “Now let’s run through this again from the start.”
The three tried their best, but the heat made them sloppy.
“Again.” Jun said.
Next time Aiba tripped over his own feet and made Nino and Sho lose their timing as well.
“Again.”
The next time when Sho was daydreaming about dunking his head a big bowl of ice-cream and missed his cue, they didn’t even wait for Jun to yell the word at them, instead they resignedly went straight back to the beginning.
They were only rescued from the torture session when an unsuspecting lighting man told Jun that there was a fault in the system somewhere that they were having trouble tracking down.
As Jun swept off to the control booth with his eyebrows scrunched together, the three of them collapsed onto the floor, feeling as if they were melting into a congealed puddle of sweat.
“Sho, you have to do something,” panted Aiba.
“Yes Sho, you have to fix this before I kill him,” Nino nodded carefully, afraid that too vigorous a movement would cause his head to fall off and roll off the end of the stage.
“Why do I have to do anything? I didn’t lose his locket. It meant a lot to me as well, you know,” Sho grumbled.
“We know that, but you are the only one of us that he has sex with. Don’t you have some sort of extra special perverted move that makes him putty in your hands that you can use to calm him down? Or at least tire him out?” Nino asked.
“Well, even if I do say so myself-” Sho began, looking quite proud of himself.
Nino and Aiba exchanged a look and laughed, cutting Sho off before Nino said, “Nah that is never going to work, we’ll have to come up with something else.’”
Sho looked quite hurt as he pried himself up off the floor and they finally escaped to the refuge of the lunchroom.

Aiba was rushing to the bathroom, more than a little desperate to go. He had drunk a lot of water while Jun made them endlessly repeat their steps and now his bladder felt close to bursting.
"Oh, Aiba," Jun said as he popped out of the bathroom and blocked the doorway with his body. "What a lucky coincidence."
"Um, hi there Jun. What do you mean?" Aiba asked as he hopped from foot to foot.
"Riida here was just telling me about the last fish he caught," Jun said as he gestured to Ohno who was sitting happily on the sofa, slurping on a frosty cup of ice water.
"Oh, really?" squeaked Aiba.
"Yep, and I told him that you would love to hear the story as well," Jun said with an evil smile.
"I really would, but I just need to go -" Aiba said desperately.
"Oh I'm sure you can spare Riida a little time before you go anywhere," Jun said as he steered Aiba over to sit next to Ohno. "You wouldn't want to make him feel like you aren't interested in something so important to him would you?"
"No..." said Aiba in a very quiet voice as he concentrated on clenching everything that could be clenched.
"So Riida, you only have fifteen minutes to talk to Aiba before we have to be back on stage. If that's ok," Jun said in a sweet tone knowing that no matter what, there was no way that anyone could refuse Ohno anything.
Aiba gulped and tried to ignore the sloshing noises coming from Ohno's cup as he tried to concentrate on what the older man was saying. Jun disappeared back into the bathroom and turned the tap at the washbasin on fully, smiling quietly to himself at the anguished squawk that came from the other room.

Perhaps it was only coincidence, or Jun’s influence with his declarations that they had attracted bad luck with the loss of his good luck charm, but things began to go wrong from that moment forward.
First it was the lighting, then it was the sound system, followed by some of the staff getting food poisoning from the food served to them when they stayed back late into the night in emergency meetings with Jun.
Aiba ripped his costume, Nino broke his microphone and Sho accidentally got locked in the bathroom. Plaintively calling for help every couple of minutes he was about to despair when Jun who had come looking for him, wondering why he had missed their appointed meeting time of 9.12 am. Taking Sho's obsessive scheduling habit into account it was a major cause for concern when he hadn't appeared by 9.15.
"Now do believe me?" Jun said as he finally released Sho after jiggling the lock for a couple of minutes.
"Jun, it’s just a coincidence. Because we are all paranoid about things happening, we are making things seem worse than they actually are." Sho said in a calming tone of voice that instantly annoyed his boyfriend.
"By "we" I take it that you mean "me"? If that's the case would you like to go back in the bathroom and find your own way out then?" Jun said with a wild gleam in his eyes.
"Jun-"
"Don't say it Sho. You know how much that locket meant to me and that everything has gone wrong since it’s been gone."
"I know baby, but if you think rationally do you really think that all of these things are happening because it’s gone? There are always going to be problems when we start a new tour and I believe in you and your ability to pull things together, locket or not."
Jun stood stiffly as Sho attempted to hug him, something that Aiba had also attempted earlier, earning himself a sharp slap on the back of his head as he accidentally stood on Jun's toe at the same time.
++++
No one believed it to be possible but by that evening things were even worse.
“Is there something wrong with Jun today?” Ohno asked after the man in question strode past, a trail of assistants, technicians and managers orbiting around him in a nervous flurry.
Ohno looked around in a bewildered fashion when there was no reply, he was sure that the other three had been standing near him a second ago.
Three heads popped up from behind a prop and cautiously checked that the danger had passed. If Ohno was picking up on Jun’s mood then things had reached critical mass. Hearing Jun’s cranky voice heading back in their direction Aiba and Nino made a run for it, dragging a bewildered Ohno with them, just in case they needed to use him as a decoy.
Sho took a deep breath and squared his shoulders, accepting that he alone was going to have to come up with a drastic plan to mend things for the sake of everyone’s sanity before it was all too late.
++++
Jun was exhausted and cranky and upset with himself for putting so much faith in an inanimate object. He knew in the tiny rational part of his mind that had seemingly disappeared since the loss of his locket that Sho was right and that there were always issues when preparing for a concert this large and complex.
But the larger, insane and out of control portion of his brain the seemed to be in charge at the moment, was filled with fear and self-doubt and pessimistic visions of Arashi becoming laughingstocks when their concert was a disaster.
The final straw came when he had sent the exhausted crew home for the night and was making one last walk around the tiered stage. Jun’s foot slipped and he found himself tumbling down the metal stairs before landing in an ungainly heap on the main stage.
Fortunately the only injury he’d sustained was a bruised ass, but just as he was about to pick himself up all the lights went out and he was plunged into utter darkness. It was all too much and to his horror he found himself bursting into noisy sobs which he tried unsuccessfully to suppress by pressing his hands tightly over his mouth even though nobody else was around to hear them.
An instant later he was blinded as a spotlight came on, illuminating a piece of stage quite near to him. As Jun squinted and tried to shield his eyes from the bright light, a figure dressed in a high school uniform stepped onto the spot.
It was Sho, who waved to him enthusiastically, calling in a high voice “Jun-kun, I’ve done it. I graduated today.”
“Sho did you fall over in the dark and hit your head?” Jun asked as he wiped his eyes.
“Jun-kun, there’s something I want to say to you. Would you walk with me?” Sho said ignoring Jun’s words.
Jun walked towards him, concerned that he had been pushing Sho hard enough to make him snap. He reached up to feel Sho’s forehead for a fever, but Sho grabbed his hand and entwined their fingers together.
“Just because I’m going to be busy with college I don’t want you to think that I don’t care for you,” Sho said with an earnest expression, gazing at Jun with innocent eyes.
Suddenly Jun felt dizzy, he remembered this exact conversation, so many years ago now on Sho’s graduation day.
“You – you care about me?” Jun asked, repeating his own words from that day. “But I’m not clever, or serious, or handsome like you. I just look like an insect. You can find someone better and smarter at college. Don’t feel like you have to tie yourself to me.”
“I don’t want someone else. I want you. You have no idea about how you look do you? Trust me, you will be much more beautiful than any of those other boys who made fun of you when we were Juniors.”
Jun felt his cheeks burn just the same way they did on that day. Sho had worked so hard to build his self-confidence, making sure that he had reached his own graduation, and had supported him in each and every day after that.
“Sho – I,” Jun stuttered.
Sho took out a pocket knife and cut the second button from his tunic saying “This is my pledge to you. No matter what the future brings for us as a couple and Arashi as a group, I will be right by your side, always.”
Jun took the button between trembling fingers as fresh tears spilled from his eyes.
Suddenly the mood was broken by a high pitched giggle from the lighting gantry that was hastily muffled.
“Nino, Aiba, you can come down now,” Jun called, with a resigned smile at Sho.
The full lights came back on as Aiba and Nino tried to leave discreetly, something not easily done as Aiba was sniffing and clutching Nino, overwhelmed by the romantic scene they had just witnessed.
“Do you feel better now?” Sho asked as he pulled Jun tight against his body.
“I guess the balance has been restored.” Jun said, gazing deeply into Sho’s eyes.
“Shall we go home?” Sho asked softly as he stroked Jun’s hair.
“Yes, please,” Jun replied, suddenly feeling completely exhausted, as he allowed Sho to put his arm around his waist and steer him towards their dressing room.
“So everything is back to normal again?” Sho asked cautiously.
“Except for one thing,” Jun said as he looked at the button resting in the palm of his hand. “We need to make a stop at the jewellers on the way in tomorrow. I need a replacement locket and I think it needs to be veeery expensive. I presume you three won’t mind splitting the bill?”
Sho could do nothing but nod his agreement, glad that his calm Jun was back and that the Code Purple was over. He decided that once Jun was tucked in bed he would be able to issue the all-clear to Nino and Aiba, but only after he had tried out the extra special perverted move that Nino had brought to his mind the day before. There was always a silver lining to any disaster if you looked hard enough.

Poor Aiba,,, the kitten has to suffer from the tiger's thick eyebrows wahahahahahah and even Nino's dark antics didn't emerge! Hmmmm but Nino was smart in using such romantic moves for Jun's oak bench top hahahahha perhaps he learned it from Sho's plan in this story! wooooaaaaahhh...
"When Jun swept along the corridors...the loitering Juniors would part like the red sea and hastily rush to their training..."
wahahahahhaha ...but since you started it with Ohno not being afraid of Jun, I can imagine him accidentally meeting a very pissed off Jun and offer him a plate of tuna he caught the day before and Jun will just shyly eat them like nothing happened..awwwwww it's probably Oh-chan's calmness and innocence that save him from Jun's wrath... it sometimes pays to be laid-back and sleepy... haahhaahah
awwww thanks dear!!! I'm glad that lj didn't take long in solving their issues...at least I was able to read your story today! yay! <3

Thank you as always for reading. <3<3

Oh Riida... Your obliviousness is too cute! *squishes cheeks* and Jun's treatment towards him too!
*clears throat* anyway, I was really fighting back my laughter while reading this (in a train lol). This is so funny. The mental image of Jun being the nightmare of everyone is so... there! And of course, the last part was really amazing too, when Sho reenacted the graduation scene, and Jun playing along. It was too sweet, my heart.
Thank you so much for giving in to our request :D

I agree that Ohno is just adorable. It is way too hard to be mean to him.
I'm glad that LJ finally got it's act together.

Oh god, code purple is really nothing to take easy ;) I don't want to meet Jun when he's really pissed. But I am glad Aiba stayed alive :)

I couldn't have done it without you. Thanks for all your help when I was writing this. πππ

And yeah I smile all the way through. Although Jun was acting diva-like but it's so amusing how they're all afraid of him except Ohno. Of course, Ohno won't be affected, instead he's like an oasis to Jun ^^. I like Sho's way to make it up, showing up in a high school uniform.
But what Ohno said to Aiba?

Thank you, this was written in a couple of hours after everyone asked what happened in the original one so it was a bit rushed, so I appreciate your nice comment π

I can feel for Jun too. I mean this pendant was most likely very important to him (and Sho), but I love it that Sho managed to find a replacement for it and to soothe all their nerves <3
Thanks so much for writing this! β₯

Fortunately he came up with the best solution possible to try and make Jun feel better.
I'm not sure in this instance if the other two were of any use at all. Perhaps that's why they tried harder when Sho broke Jun's kitchen.
Thanks for reading, my lovely friend. π

I laughed so much reading this, seriously!
Lesson: never leave Aiba anywhere near Jun's stuff hahahahhaa!
The last part was so cuuuuute <3 Also, Ohno being the only one who is always safe from Jun's wrath was so good xD
Thanks for sharing this with us! ^^

We all know that Jun has a huge soft spot for Ohno and who can blame him.

Well, I just love how Ohno not affected by Jun's mood. Sasuga, Riida....
Nino will be dying for splitting the bill, nee? Hahah...
And Sho must be a patient boyfriend Jun ever have. Sho can handle his mood swings. XD
Thank you for this cute code purple too. ^ - ^

And yes Nino will be in pain (if Sho can get the money out of him).
Sho loves him and will forgive him anything.
Thanks very much for your kind words.π

Yup, totally understand why Code Purple was so bad!
.....out of curiosity, are there any other Codes? Like a Code Blue when someone is a bit too tanned? Or a Code Yellow when a game breaks? I do wonder what would cause a Code Green...pet dying, perhaps? And then a Code Red. That one would be fun to watch :D Well, fun for me. ;)

Awww at Sho repeating the graduation scene <3 That was so cute <3
I can't but feel bad for those under the wrath of Jun, though XD

Jun is totally scary on the surface, but more than a bit insecure underneath in this and Sho understands that.
